Santa Cruz has a wider shoreline than many of the western coves. Mangroves attract birds but can reduce water clarity, so this is a better choice for a relaxed shoreline visit than a trip built around clear-water snorkeling. The tourism board lists shade shelters, a small bar and restaurant, and restrooms. Check whether those facilities are operating before relying on them.
