Before you book
Select the exact package, sailing date and children’s ages. Check the final total, departure point and cancellation terms on the operator’s booking site. A boat cancellation and your own cancellation can have different refund rules. For mobility needs, ask about every boarding and shore-transfer step before booking.
Before you go
The crossing is on open water. Speak to the operator about the expected ride and your group’s needs before booking. If motion sickness is a concern, ask a pharmacist or clinician about suitable options rather than relying on another traveler’s medication advice.
Follow the crew’s water-entry guidance. Do not enter the lighthouse or climb on wrecks simply because other visitors do. Keep wildlife and the shoreline undisturbed, bring rubbish back and keep enough time for the required return to the boat.

Can I drive to Klein Curaçao?
No. It is an offshore island reached by boat. Drive to the departure point supplied by your operator, not the island map pin.
How long is the crossing?
Plan for an open-sea crossing rather than a short harbour ride. BlueFinn publishes about 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours each way; the actual time depends on the vessel and conditions. Ask your operator for your trip’s schedule.
Are toilets and shade available?
Facilities depend on the operator. Some packages include an on-island beach base; others provide facilities on the vessel. Ask where the toilets, lunch and shade are, and how you can move between shore and boat.
Will I see turtles?
A sighting is possible, not guaranteed. Keep your distance, never feed or touch wildlife, and follow the crew’s guidance.
Is it suitable for children or someone with limited mobility?
Ask the operator about the specific boat, boarding steps, dinghy transfer, shade and toilets. Do not assume a beach excursion is step-free or suitable for every age or mobility need.
Can I fit it into a short cruise stop?
Treat it as a full-day trip with a weather-dependent crossing. Compare the confirmed return arrangement with your ship’s all-aboard deadline. A shorter mainland beach outing may fit your port call better.
