For a cruise visit, the best beach is one you can enjoy without turning the return journey into a gamble.

Use the planner to compare destinations, but do not use its suggested finish time as a guarantee that you will reach the ship. It does not include port procedures or live traffic.
Write down your ship’s all-aboard time, the time you can actually leave the port and the meeting point for returning transport. Check whether your phone and ship use the same time. Work backwards from all aboard; do not treat the ship’s departure time as your target arrival.
Allow a return buffer for traffic, finding the vehicle and walking through the port. Set that buffer with your operator and ship guidance. This guide does not claim a universal safe number of minutes.
Start by comparing Mambo, Blue Bay and Kokomo on a map from your actual berth. They offer different beach-day styles and are candidates for a single-destination outing. This is not a distance ranking or a claim that they are walkable from the port.
If Grote Knip is your priority, plan specifically for the western drive instead of adding it casually to a town-and-beach day. Royal Caribbean also organizes its beach recommendations by region; geography matters when time ashore is fixed.
Before accepting a taxi quote, establish whether it covers one way or return, the whole vehicle or each passenger, waiting time and the exact pickup point. Arrange how you will contact the driver. For an excursion, ask about the itinerary, inclusions and missed-return policy rather than assuming all tours offer the same protection.
A single satisfying stop is often the better cruise-day plan. Compare entrance, seating, food and transport together using our beach cost guide. Recheck travel estimates on the day. Avoid stacking an independent west-coast route, city sightseeing and a final beach club into one short port call.
Add your beaches, set your starting point and arrange the stops.
