Curaçao beaches by bus: choose a beach and check your stops

Explore the beaches with ABC’s public buses. Choose a beach area, check the fare and plan both directions. Smaller independently operated buses are a separate service.

Where would you like to go?

Otrobanda · Route 9A

Piskadó & Kalki

ABC describes the Catholic church above Piskadó as the return stop, reached by the stairs from the beach. Kalki is an optional onward walk, not a verified beachfront ABC stop; check that walk separately.

Punda · Route 6A

Mambo Beach

ABC confirms Mambo Beach on route 6A and describes an approximately two-minute walk from its stop to the beach entrance. Your chosen beach club may be farther along the boulevard.

ABC bus-stop map

Load the map here, find your departure stop and beach area, then select a stop for its services. Check the return direction separately.

Map supplied by Autobusbedrijf Curaçao (ABC). Loading connects to ABC’s service. Displayed times are scheduled arrivals, not a guarantee of a bus’s position.

If the map is unavailable, confirm your journey with ABC on +599 9 724 4222. Do not rely on the old timetable for today’s last bus.

Fares and recognising an ABC bus

ABC fares per person, per ride

Route areaOne ride
Banda Abou, Lagun, Westpunt and Tera KoraXCG 2.50
All other ABC routes, including 6AXCG 2.00

These fares cover Autobusbedrijf Curaçao (ABC). Independently operated smaller buses have different fares and are not covered by this guide. Each new ride adds to your total; this is not a day-pass price.

Bring exact change in XCG. ABC’s supplied payment notice also accepts US-dollar notes below $20, excludes US coins, uses XCG 1.75 per US$1 for payment and gives change in local currency. The graphic uses the older ANG label; amounts are shown here in XCG as confirmed by Cura To Go’s owner.

Fare information confirmed by the owner on 9 September 2026. These are single-ride fares, not a confirmation of today’s departure times. Child discounts and transfer concessions are not included in the examples.

Want to visit two beaches?

Compare an eastern 6A beach day, a Lagun–Grote Knip outing and a Westpunt bus-and-walk day in our beach hopping by bus guide. Choose a pairing, then check the actual connections.

Three checks before leaving

  1. Outbound: confirm the terminal, service, travel date and destination stop.
  2. The final walk: check the entrance, road conditions and how much you will carry. A stop near a beach is not necessarily a comfortable walking connection.
  3. Return: identify the correct stop, direction and departure, and keep a backup transport option.

What the timetable does—and does not—tell you

The supplied ABC poster is dated 1 August 2024. Its main columns show departures from Punda or Otrobanda; grey boxes identify exceptions starting elsewhere. They are not beach pickup times. Weekday, Saturday and Sunday/holiday conditions differ by route. We use its route labels as a reference, without presenting its departure times as current. Fares above use the owner’s newly supplied confirmation.

One beach or several?

Our recommendation for a first bus outing is one main beach. Waiting and walking can use more of the day than expected. Only add another stop after checking the actual connection and return options. For flexible beach hopping, compare our rental-car guide. The beach-day planner currently creates driving trips; it does not calculate bus connections.

Bring what you need for the whole outing

Carry water, sun protection, comfortable footwear and enough phone battery for the return journey. Keep baggage manageable. Bring exact change for each ride and check the route display before boarding an ABC bus.

Check your journey before you go

Look up both directions and confirm the final walk.
