Good questions. Better beach days.
A LITTLE PREPARATION. A BETTER BEACH DAY.
The details that
make the difference.
Beautiful from above. Useful on the ground.
Here’s what to check before you head out.
01 Free by road ≠ a free beach day +
A fee at a gate may cover access through private land. Boat transport, parking, chairs and facilities are separate costs. Check the details for how you plan to arrive.
02 Find the entrance, not just the sand +
Check the final access road and parking before leaving. A beach pin alone may not take you to the correct gate. Download your route if you expect limited mobile signal.
03 Pack for the beach you’re visiting +
Bring drinking water and sun protection. Check whether food, toilets, shade and rentals are available. Rocky water entry may make water shoes useful.
04 Leave the reef as you found it +
Give wildlife space. Don’t feed or touch turtles, stand on coral or leave rubbish behind. Conditions change: check local signs and advice before entering the water.
