The route idea: Kenepa and Lagun

This is an editorial route suggestion, not a timed tour. Start with Grote Knip, consider nearby Kleine Knip, and finish with Lagun if you still want another stop. Reverse the order if that better suits your starting point. Check the actual road route and travel estimates before leaving.

Stop one: decide whether to settle in

At Grote Knip, take a moment to look at the beach and your group’s energy level before carrying everything down. If it is the place you want to spend the day, stay. There is no need to abandon a good beach just to complete a list.

Stop two: compare the smaller cove

Kleine Knip gives you a second setting in the Kenepa area. Treat it as optional rather than buying or carrying a second full setup automatically. Our comparison of the two Knip beaches explains the choice. Confirm facilities on arrival instead of depending on a specific vendor.

Stop three: a different bay

If everyone wants another stop, consider Lagun’s narrower setting. Choose a short visit or a longer rest according to the conditions you find. Check food availability before making it a fixed late lunch stop, and keep the return journey in view.

An alternative around Sint Willibrordus

Choose Porto Mari as a main stop and compare Daaibooi or Cas Abao as an optional addition. Do not try to fit both beach groups into the same relaxed day. Each extra gate, parking stop and repack takes time.

Bring water, check access and opening information, and nominate a designated driver if lunch includes alcohol. Use the planner to organize your chosen stops; follow our rental-car guide for the transport details.
