Get the names straight
Grote Knip is also known as Playa Kenepa Grandi. Kleine Knip is Playa Kenepa Chiki. Neither is the offshore island of Klein Curaçao. Check the destination name before opening directions or agreeing on a meeting point.
Which would I choose first?
For a first visit focused on a broad cove view, we would start with Grote Knip. If you prefer to compare a smaller setting, include Kleine Knip as the optional second stop. These are editorial preferences; neither guarantees quiet water, empty sand or available facilities.
Look at the actual descent and entry before carrying everything down. A beautiful view from above and a suitable beach base are separate decisions.
Do not rely on assumptions about services
Check the latest beach notes for access and reported amenities, then confirm what is operating when you arrive. Bring enough drinking water and sun protection that your visit does not depend on one vendor. Ask what any seating or shade rental includes before paying.
Choose according to the people with you. Someone carrying a child or managing an uneven surface may care more about the approach than the size of the bay.
How to visit both without rushing
Use one as your main swimming stop and the other as a short optional visit. If everyone is happy at the first beach, stay there. If you want to compare, pack lightly and leave room in the schedule rather than promising equal hours at each.

Use Grote Knip / Playa Kenepa Grandi for the larger cove and Kleine Knip / Playa Kenepa Chiki for the smaller cove. Save each as a separate stop if you plan to visit both. Klein Curaçao is a separate offshore island reached by boat.
