Free entrance is useful information. It is only one line in your beach-day budget.

For two adults, start with transport + two admissions (or one car ticket) + two chairs + food. At Porto Mari, admission and two chairs total US$13 at the published rates. Bring your own seating only where the rules allow it.
Locals: Jan Thiel publishes XCG 3 admission with a sédula, compared with XCG 6 / US$3 standard entry; entrance is free after 16:30. Chair and venue charges remain separate. Check the operator’s entrance conditions.
Free entry at one beach does not establish permission to cross private land or arrive by boat at another. Check the access notes for the place you choose.
The tourist board lists no entrance fee at Playa Jeremi, Kokomo and Caracasbaai. These are very different choices: compare their access and facilities before choosing solely on admission. Jeremi’s uneven steps and limited shade deserve particular attention if you are carrying gear or travelling with children.
Write down five amounts: getting there and back, land access, parking, seating or shade, and food or facilities. Ask whether each charge is per person, per car or per item. A group of four should not compare a per-car tariff with a per-person ticket as if they were equivalent.
At Porto Mari, the operator publishes US$3 per person plus US$3.50 per chair. For two adults taking two chairs, that is a published-price example of US$13 before transport and food. Reconfirm those prices before your visit.
Compare what you would otherwise need to bring or buy. Do not assume a paid ticket includes loungers, shade or showers. At Jan Thiel, the operator advertises free entrance after 16:30; that is an entrance condition, not a promise of free club services.
Bring the essentials even when a snack bar is listed. Ask about outside-food rules, accepted payment methods and any special-event conditions. Keep locally quoted amounts in their stated currency; an old price label in a guide is a reason to check with the operator.
