Mambo Beach vs Jan Thiel: choose your beach-club day

Entrance is only part of the price

Mambo publishes XCG 8 beach entrance, with beds charged separately. Jan Thiel publishes XCG 6 / US$3 entry, or XCG 3 with a sédula, and free entry after 16:30. These are destination entrance charges, not all-inclusive day passes.

Choose Mambo for a boulevard-style outing

Mambo Beach combines a beach visit with a shopping-and-dining strip. It is our suggested starting point when some people want to browse while others prefer to sit by the water. Agree on a meeting point and the beach operator before splitting up.

Choose Jan Thiel around a particular venue

Jan Thiel has several beach clubs and restaurants. Start with the place where you want to eat or spend time, then check its seating, reservation and event arrangements. The destination’s entrance condition does not replace the individual venue’s rules.

Compare the bill you will actually pay

Ask both options the same questions: is there admission, what does a chair cost, is shade included, and is there a minimum spend? The Jan Thiel operator publishes an entrance rate and a free-entry period after 16:30. Check the detail page for its current web-published figures and reconfirm special-event arrangements.

For Mambo, avoid applying one club’s tariff to the whole waterfront. A restaurant booking is not necessarily a beach-chair reservation.

Match the atmosphere to your group

If quiet matters, ask about music and events for your actual date. If you want an evening out, plan the return transport before you order drinks. For a family visit, confirm toilets, shade and the route to the water with the chosen operator.

We would make either destination the main stop of the day rather than commuting between them for a quick comparison. Your accommodation location may settle the decision: inspect the road route, then spend the saved time at the beach.
